BALANCED, CONSENSUS-DRIVEN LEADERSHIP
Proven ability to bring people together, find common ground, and focus on solutions rather than partisanship or extremes. I will listen to different perspectives and work toward practical outcomes that serve the residents of District 1 and Pierce County.
INFRASTRUCTURE THAT WORKS
I will continue to advocate for higher prioritization of funding for the maintenance and improvement of existing infrastructure. Roads, bridges, and stormwater drainage, particularly in unincorporated Pierce County, need greater attention to help reduce congestion and improve public safety. I will also support responsible planning and budgeting to address future needs.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Be a good steward of every taxpayer dollar. I will ask the tough questions about whether county departments and programs are effective, relevant, and delivering results before asking taxpayers for more. Tax increases should be a last resort, not the first solution.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Support the men and women who keep our communities safe with effective staffing, quality training, and the equipment they need to do their jobs effectively. At the same time, I will keep the safety of residents, families, and neighborhoods at the center of county decision-making.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR OUR COMMUNITIES
Focus on more affordable housing options for people at all stages of life and across a range of incomes. I will look for practical ways to reduce unnecessary costs and delays in the housing process so that families, seniors, and communities have more options for affordability, location, and housing type.
A STRONG, EXPERIENCED VOICE FOR EAST PIERCE COUNTY
Continue listening to the residents of District 1 and make sure their needs and concerns are represented at the county level. I am committed to bringing the perspective of East Pierce County residents and businesses to county decisions about funding, infrastructure, services, safety, and planning.
